 Apply for Graduation

Students must meet with their academic advisor to complete an Intent to Graduate Form at least 1‑2 semesters prior to their final semester.

Review and Reconcile Your Student Account

Students should review their student account throughout the semester to ensure there are no holds on their account. Please contact the Office of Student Accounts to review and/or reconcile your account. Reconciliation of obligations to the College must be made before diplomas and/or transcripts will be released.

Check for Commencement Notifications and Information

Students need to frequently check and read their Aquinas emails and the student portal for notifications and information regarding Commencement.

Order Academic Regalia (Caps & Gowns)

Students who anticipate participating in Commencement are expected to wear academic regalia as distributed by the College. As Commencement is a formal ceremony, it is customary to wear the gown over business attire.

Academic regalia must be ordered through an online process at no charge to the student before the specified deadline.

Important note: Students who do not order their academic regalia by the specified deadline will not be eligible to participate in Commencement.

     Deadlines for ordering academic regalia:
For December 2017 Candidates for Graduation:  November 15, 2017
For May 2018 and August 2018 Candidates for Graduation:  February 24, 2018

 Attend the Commencement Practice

Commencement Practice will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018. Students who expect to attend Commencement are expected to attend the practice. Academic regalia will be available for pick up immediately following the practice. Students must receive and sign for their own regalia in person. These items will not be released to anyone in lieu of the graduating student. Students who do not pick up regalia by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018 will not be allowed to participate in Commencement.

Commencement is a ceremony.
Graduation signifies the official completion of all degree requirements.
They are NOT the same thing.
Attending Commencement does not mean that you have graduated.
