Apply for Graduation

Students must meet with their academic advisor to complete an Intent to Graduate Form at least 1‑2 semesters prior to their final semester. For those who anticipate degree completion in December 2016, the deadline to meet with your academic advisor is March 23, 2016.  For those who anticipate degree completion in May 2017 or August 2017, the deadline to meet with your academic advisor is November 15, 2016.

Review and Reconcile Your Student Account

Students should review their student account throughout the semester to ensure there are no holds on their account. Please contact the Office of Student Accounts to review and/or reconcile your account. Reconciliation of obligations to the College must be made before diplomas and/or transcripts will be released.

Check for Commencement Notifications and Information

Students need to frequently check and read their Aquinas emails and the student portal for notifications and information regarding Commencement.

Order Academic Regalia (Caps & Gowns)

Students who anticipate participating in Commencement are expected to wear academic regalia as distributed by the College. As Commencement is a formal ceremony, it is customary to wear the gown over business attire.

Academic regalia must be ordered through an online process at no charge to the student before the specified deadline.

Important note: Students who do not order their academic regalia by the specified deadline will not be eligible to participate in Commencement.

     Deadlines for ordering academic regalia:

Each participating candidate for graduation is guaranteed to receive a certain number of tickets. Graduation candidates participating in Commencement will not need tickets for themselves. To request up to three (3) additional tickets, students must complete a Request for Tickets Form and return it to the Office of Academics no later than March 3, 2017. Please be advised that additional tickets are not guaranteed. Requests for additional tickets after the deadline will not be accepted.
