The Aquinas College Bachelor of Arts degree consists of three components – the Bachelor of Arts core, a major area of study and a minor area of study. Rich and cultivating, the Bachelor of Arts core is designed to give students a breadth of experience in the liberal arts and serves as the foundation for the upper-level coursework required of the major and minor areas of study. Majors are available in Liberal Arts, English and Theology, while minors are available in History, Theology, English, Philosophy, Psychology and Business Administration.
Students must choose a major area of study by the end of their sophomore year (after the completion of 60 semester hours). Majors available for the Bachelor of Arts degree at Aquinas College are Liberal Arts, Theology, English and History .
A required minor area of study provides students the opportunity to receive recognition for the completion of coursework in a discipline outside of their major and contributes to the breadth of the Bachelor of Arts degree. Minors include Theology, Philosophy, English, History, Psychology and Business Administration. Coursework completed for the major may not be duplicated for completion of the minor. The number of hours required for completion of the minor will vary, depending on the minor chosen.
General electives are taken as needed to fulfill the 120 credit hour requirement for the Bachelor of Arts degree. At least 39 of the 120 credit hours must be at the 300-400 level, and at least 12 of the 120 credit hours must be at the 400 level.
