FAQ

  1. How long will it take to complete the ASN program?

The nursing courses must be completed in sequence so it will take 2 years to complete the nursing courses once you begin the program.

  2. What Liberal Arts and Sciences courses must be completed before applying to the program?

The only courses required before applying to the program are the pre-requisite courses. The Liberal Arts and Sciences co-requisite courses may be completed while enrolled in the nursing courses or prior to entering the program.

  3. How soon will I begin working in the hospital?

6 weeks after starting the program you will begin clinical experience in the hospital.

  4. Are nursing courses offered on the weekend or during the evenings?

Many of the required liberal arts and sciences courses are offered during the evening. The nursing courses are offered during the daytime hours, Monday through Friday.

  5. Is it possible to work while enrolled in the nursing program?

Yes, it is possible depending upon factors such as the flexibility of your work schedule, the cooperation of your employer and your course load. The rigor and demands of the ASN program make employment difficult so a minimal number of work hours would be recommended if a student must work while enrolled in nursing courses.

It's a fact.

A registered nurse must be capable of long periods of concentration in selecting correct techniques, equipment and safety measures to assure maximum care and safety of the patient.
