What Types of Institutional Scholarships
Are Available?
Aquinas College offers several merit-based and need-based grants and scholarships. Eligibility is based
on the requirements specific to the individual scholarships and awarded according to the decisions of
the Scholarship Committee appointed by the President of the College. Recipients will be notified
of selection by mail beginning April 1. To be considered for a grant or scholarship you must meet
the following requirements:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to February 15.
- Complete the Aquinas College Scholarship Application prior to March 1 to be considered for institutional grants and scholarships.
- If applying for the President's and Vice-President's Scholarships, submit three letters of recommendation in sealed envelopes along with the Aquinas College Scholarship Application.
- If you have not already done so, please complete the Aquinas College Application for Admission. Applicants must be admitted to the College prior to March 1 for priority consideration.
The Aquinas College Scholarship Committee will determine your eligibility based on the above criteria as
well as your Grade Point Average, ACT/SAT scores and/or GED scores. The following is a list of

Aquinas College Institutional Scholarships are awarded based on the following:
- You must be a regular degree-seeking student in a designated program.
- You must maintain the Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) as stated in your scholarship agreement.
- You must register for and complete the minimum amount of semester hours stated in your scholarship agreement.
- You must participate in designated school activities.
- Grants and scholarships are divided between fall and spring semesters.
- Awards are not given for summer, and summer enrollment is not considered in regards to meeting enrollment requirements.
- Some grants and scholarships may have additional requirements.
- Eligibility is determined each March for the following academic year.
- Amounts awarded are dependent upon a student's financial need, market value, and availability of funds.
- You must demonstrate that you are working toward your full academic potential and that you exemplify the spirit of Aquinas College.
