Important Announcement regarding the Adult Studies Program »

Adult Studies Overview

The Adult Studies Program is designed for the working adult, providing a rigorous, sequenced curriculum that fosters a lifelong love of study; self-responsibility for one's own education; shared experiences; and a deep sense of commitment to the betterment of society, beginning with the betterment of the learner's understanding of the world. Within the business programs, both theoretical knowledge and practical skills are used to provide the learner with the tools, technological and pedagogical, that are essential in the modern world of commerce and trade.

The Program is characterized by accelerated courses that meet once a week for 5-8 weeks. Cohorts of 15 or fewer students undertake their studies together for the duration of their degree or certificate program. This small class format ensures both enduring peer support and superior faculty attention to student learning.

Mission

The Aquinas Adult Studies program further extends the Aquinas College mission to adult students. Adult Studies seeks to provide an atmosphere of learning, which empowers and motivates students to use human institutions to promote the spiritual, moral, intellectual, and professional growth of all members of society. Adult Studies will foster a Catholic world vision in its approach to each life, each culture, country, and civilization.
