School of Arts & Sciences graduate Justin Nicholas Raines will be ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, July 27 at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville, Tennessee. Justin graduated Summa Cum Laude from Aquinas College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Theology with a minor in Philosophy. After his graduation from Aquinas, Justin entered the seminary at the Pontifical North American College (NAC) in Rome. While receiving his priestly formation at the NAC, Justin attended the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce). He was ordained to the transitional diaconate in St. Peter’s Basilica in October 2012 by Most Reverend John F. Myers, Archbishop of Newark, New Jersey.
A native of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, about a half hour west of Nashville, Justin graduated from Wilson Central High School and converted to Catholicism from the Wesleyan tradition in which he grew up. Join Aquinas College in joyful anticipation of Justin’s ordination to the priesthood. Nashville seminarian Terry McGowan will also be ordained at the ceremony.
