Beauty from the Inside Out Flourishing

January 15, 2012

From Rachel Leach, Director of Alumni Relations:

The Aquinas College Office of Alumni Relations’ Beauty from the Inside Out class at Room In The Inn is now in its fourth week. This week the ladies addressed the Christmas cards that we created the week prior, each woman received 10 copies of the card she created and was given postage. The art supplies were generously donated by Aquinas alumna, Leslie Wallace Congdon and Aquinas staff member, Christine Asbury. While the class addressed their cards, we took turns sharing who the loved ones were that would be receiving each card.

Next week the class will be decorating iced sugar cookies, several of the Aquinas students will be joining, and anyone is welcome. The topic of the Christian counseling discussion will be “spiritual food.” Please join us this Tuesday at 9:00 in the Room In The Inn Education Center.

About Beauty from the Inside Out

The course teaches the art of confidence, leadership, and positivity, with Christian-based life choice counseling to vulnerable women looking to cultivate a new lifestyle while recovering from homelessness, abuse, or chemical dependence. The goal of the course is to help these women see, feel, and live their inherent worth, to help them find their own voice and to realize their unique beauty—from the inside out.

If you are interested in contributing or participating, please contact Rachel Leach, Director of Alumni Relations, at leachr@aquinascollege.edu. We would also greatly appreciate your prayers since these women need the strength that only prayer can give.
