National Association of Catholic Nurses Local Council Organizational Meeting

February 22 @ 10:00 am

| Free

The Aquinas College School of Nursing is in the early stages of forming a local council of The National Association of Catholic Nurses, to be comprised of all interested nurses and nursing students in the Nashville metropolitan area. Established in 1940 at the request of the Catholic Bishops of the United States, the Association is a conduit for nurses, nursing students, and other related healthcare professionals who support Catholic values and principles, with a focus on networking, education, responding to current healthcare issues, allocation and access to resources, and service opportunities. Aquinas College is again hosting the annual conference of the association, March 21-23, 2014.

“The formation a local council of Catholic Nurses and others of good will is critically needed in our world today if we are to be faithful to our vocation and work together to transform lives through caring and healing in nursing especially in the work of the New Evangelization.” stated Brother Ignatius Perkins, O.P., Ph.D., R.N., Dean of the Aquinas College School of Nursing.

All interested nurses and nursing students are invited to attend one of two special information sessions on Tuesday, February 11 at 7:00 p.m. or on Saturday, February 22 at 10:00 a.m. in the Aquinas College main building. For more information call the School of Nursing at (615) 297-2008. No reservations required.
