Please note:  The Symphony Cruise scheduled for this Thursday, April 18, has been cancelled due to lack of interest.  We thank those who expressed an interest in this event, and we hope to provide more such events (perhaps at a more convenient time!) next year.

Join the Center for Faith & Culture at Aquinas College on Thursday, April 18 at 5 p.m. with dinner and a discussion by composer and Blair School of Music professor Michael Kurek, followed by a performance by the Nashville Symphony at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center at 7 p.m.

The SunTrust Classical Series will present Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 9 in E-flat major (“Jeunehomme”), along with works by Kodály (Háry János: Suite), Ginastera (Harp Concerto), and Carlos Chavez (Symphony No. 2 “Sinfonía india”) at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Michael Kurek will lead an informal discussion about these pieces at the Aquinas dinner. For more information about the music, please visit the Nashville Symphony event page.

The evening will cost $30 for our alumni, faculty, and staff, and $10 for Aquinas students, which is a substantial saving considering that symphony tickets often go for twice that value! The cost includes dinner. See below for ticket purchase.

Dinner & Discussion: 5:00 p.m. in Room 102
Symphony: 7:00 p.m. at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center
