A new photography installation entitled “Image of God,” part of the Office of Alumni Relations’ “Hope Anchors”art therapy project at Room in the Inn, will adorn the halls of Aquinas College during the Fall semester. These stunning photographs, paired with the Beatitudes, feature the faces of the homeless men and women who are students in the weekly class. “Image of God” underscores our common human dignity which is rooted in the certainty that we all are made in the image of God, in Christ’s redemption, and in our ultimate destiny of union with God. The photos were taken by Harrison Hudson.

The subjects of the photographs come from many varied backgrounds. Some have been homeless all of their lives. One woman only recently became homeless after being injured in a hit-and-run without health insurance.
This art collection sets the tone for the Center for Faith and Culture’s 2013–2014 Lecture Series, which takes as its theme Jesus’ question, “Who do you say that I am?” For more information about the Lecture Series or for volunteer opportunities, please contact Rachel Leach, Director of Alumni Relations at (615) 383-3230 ext. 492 or at email@example.com.
