Manicures for Soon-to-be-Working Hands

February 21, 2013

The Aquinas Alumni Association is now in its 15th week of its outreach class, “Beauty from the Inside Out,” at the Room In The Inn homeless shelter. Alumni gave the ladies lovely manicures for their future job interviews and taught them interviewing skills as well as how to present yourself with confidence and grace. The ladies and manicurists were fast friends and the classroom was filled with love and laughter!

The mission of the Beauty from the Inside Out project is to help vulnerable women see, feel, and live their inherent worth, to help them find their own voice and to realize their unique beauty—from the inside out.

The Aquinas College incoming freshmen visited Room in the Inn in late August as a part of the service aspect of the freshman orientation program. See the gallery below.
