School of Nursing Continues Its Commitment to Form a Local Council of the National Association of Catholic Nurses

On Tuesday, June 18, interested nurses and nursing students gathered at Aquinas College to learn more about establishing a local council of the National Association of Catholic Nurses. Presentations by Mary Donnelly, M.S.N., R.N. and Brother Ignatius Perkins, O.P., Ph.D., R.N. explained the history of the Association, the importance of a local Council, and the steps required to implement a Council. The most compelling discussions emerged from the participants and how the Association can provide education and support in responding to the ethical, moral, and professional practice issues that they face every day. Additional exploratory interest sessions are being scheduled.
