Only courses taken at other regionally accredited institutions (in the traditional format or by distance learning) for which the student has earned at least a grade of “C” will be evaluated for transfer credit. The amount of transfer credit accepted will be determined by the program directors in accordance with the degree requirements of the College. Transfer credit is granted at the discretion of the institution. The College reserves the right to reject any course contrary to its College mission.
Science courses required for the A.S.N. Degree must be current within the last five years of starting the A.S.N. Program. For all other programs the science courses must have been completed within the last ten years to be transferable. The ten-year limitation of lower-division science courses for R.N. to B.S.N. students may be waived if, at the discretion of the Program Director, the student has been actively involved in the practice of nursing. Once admitted, students who are pursuing a degree must complete all coursework required for that degree at Aquinas College. Transfer credit is not computed in the Aquinas GPA.
Note: The last 24 hours must be taken at Aquinas for students seeking the Associate of Arts degree and the Associate of Science degree. The last 33 hours must be taken at Aquinas for students seeking the Bachelor of Science with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies (Teacher Education) degree, the last 30 hours for students seeking the R.N. to B.S.N. degree, and the last 30 hours for students seeking the B.B.A. degree or the B.A. degree.
TRANSFER AGREEMENTS FOR COURSEWORK TAKEN OUTSIDE OF THE COLLEGE To guarantee that credit(s) will be transferable, Aquinas students must obtain a written transfer agreement from the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs before enrolling in the course(s) at other institutions. Failure to obtain such agreement may prevent the course(s) from being transferred.
An off campus housing board is located in front of the Student Affairs Office. A graduate school bulletin board is located across from the ladies restroom on the second floor.
