This webinar series from the School of Education is for all interested teachers, catechists, and parents. The monthly workshops will cover a variety of timely topics.

Professional development certificates will be awarded to all participants by the Aquinas College School of Education.

The cost of each webinar is $10.

What to Expect    

We’ll begin with a review of the signs and symptoms of anxiety and depressive disorders so you can better identify students who need support. Be equipped with practical steps that can be taken to help these students! 

About the Speaker    

Sr. Elena Marie Piteo, O.P. holds a Ph.D. from the University of Adelaide in Australia. She worked on research projects specifically examining the effects of diet and sleep on cognitive, language, social, and emotional development as well as the impacts on mental health before entering the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia in 2011. She then continued her studies in education and taught in high schools in the United States. For three years she taught psychology and research methods in higher education institutes in Australia. She currently serves as an assistant professor of psychology at Aquinas College.
