WEBINAR Evangelizing Catechesis

The Center for Evangelization and Catechesis at Aquinas College is inviting you to free webinar for all evangelists, catechists, and catechetical leaders.

An Evangelizing Catechesis: Integrating the Kerygma into Every Lesson Plan

Description

The General Directory for Catechesis states, “Frequently, many who present themselves for catechesis truly require genuine conversion. Because of this the Church usually desires that the first stage in the catechetical process be dedicated to ensuring conversion.” For this reason, we must ensure that the doctrines we teach always maintain their connection to the Kerygma. “Faith comes by hearing” (Rom 10:17) and it is the responsibility of the catechist to teach and preach the Gospel (Kerygma).

In this webinar we will first identify the essential aspects of the Kerygma and look at practical ways to incorporate into every lesson. In presenting lessons this way, the Gospel message of the love and forgiveness of God can shine through all that the Church teaches.
