Center for Evangelization and Catechesis

catechetical books
The Center for Evangelization and Catechesis at Aquinas College exists to form catechists so that they may faithfully participate in the Church’s mission of evangelization and to “make disciples of all nations.” The Center for Evangelization and Catechesis strives to prepare catechists who possess a confident knowledge of Church doctrine; who have a proper understanding and skill in right pedagogy; and who are themselves faithful disciples of the Lord.

Catechist Formation Program

Aquinas College developed the Catechist Formation Program to assist various dioceses as they help pastors, principals, and directors of religious education train prospective catechists in Roman Catholic doctrine. By making available faculty, research, and scholarship prepared in the light of the Magisterium of the Church, the Program offers a systematic and organic formation program based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church and other catechetical documents of the Roman Catholic Church and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The Program is a non-credit program supported by Aquinas College in light of its overall mission. Currently, the CFP is offered in the Dioceses of Nashville and Knoxville. The program is offered in two formats: live trainings and online.

Please contact Jason Gale, Director of the Catechist Formation Program for more information.
