Corpus Christi Perpetual Adoration Chapel Now Open

October 25, 2014

The Aquinas College community invites the whole Diocese of Nashville community and beyond to pray with us in the Corpus Christi Adoration Chapel, dedicated and blessed by Bishop David R. Choby on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Over 100 people attended the event, which included a blessing of the chapel space, a Eucharistic procession to install the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel, and a formal reception. Assisting Bishop Choby was Aquinas alumnus Father Justin Raines, ’07, who blessed the chapel with holy water.

The Corpus Christi Adoration Chapel will be open to adorers 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and is the only chapel in the Diocese of Nashville offering perpetual Eucharistic adoration. The construction of the chapel involved a significant renovation of the Carriage House, most recently a campus cafe. The project represents the first in a number of initiatives for the College as outlined in its ambitious Vision 2020: Truth and Charitystrategic plan.
