St. Thomas Aquinas Week begins January 28 on the Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas.
The college celebrates St. Thomas’ scholarship with presentations that feature the application of Thomistic principles and thought to education and evangelization – and a little fun. The week’s lineup includes:
Monday, January 28
11:20 a.m. Mass of St. Thomas Aquinas. Fr. Allan White, O.P. celebrant and homilist. St. Jude Chapel, Aquinas Main.
12:30 p.m. Lunch following Mass, Breen Hall, Aquinas Main. RSVP requested.
6:45 p.m. Night Prayers, St. Cecilia Chapel, St. Cecilia Motherhouse.
7:30 p.m. Lecture, ‘Christ the Father’s Art’: Aquinas and Fra Angelico on Preaching and Painting the Word Incarnate. Fr. Allan White, O.P. St. Dominic Oratory, St. Cecilia Motherhouse. Reservation required.
Tuesday, January 29
11:25 a.m. Brown Bag Mini-Lecture, Lauda, Zion: The Church’s Response to the Gift of Christus Totus in the Eucharistic Poetry of Saint Thomas Aquinas. Dr. Katherine Haynes. Room 111, Aquinas Main. Bring lunch.
Wednesday, January 30

The celebration occurs during Catholic Schools Week across the country. St. Thomas Aquinas is the patron of Catholic schools, students, scholars, universities and in particular, Aquinas College.
