Study the people, events, and ideas that have shaped human civilization from the beginnings of Western Civilization through colonial America to the 16th and 20th century councils of the Catholic Church to the history of East Asia and beyond.

Consider the worldviews of influential philosophers such as Aristotle and Kant, understand the foundations established by the great theologians of the Catholic Church, and embark upon a journey through great literature and the study of history.

The Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) is designed for individuals who hold an undergraduate degree in a discipline outside of education, but who would like to pursue a career in teaching.


The Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) is designed for individuals who hold an undergraduate degree in a discipline outside of education, but who would like to pursue a career in teaching.


The Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree is designed for individuals who presently hold a degree and/or license in teaching and who would like to pursue an advanced degree.


Length of time to complete: 2.5 years

Credit Hours: 30

The Aquinas College Certificate of Catholic Social Emotional Learning was designed to help teachers to fulfill their vocation with courses built not only on solid psychological understanding, but also on the authentic and uniquely Catholic understanding of the dignity of the human person as taught by St. Thomas Aquinas, integrating a Christian anthropological view with psychosocial research.


Length of time to complete: 1-2 years

Credit Hours: 12 (4 courses)
