"Lord, Teach Us to Pray" Lecture Series — Aquinas College - Nashville, Tennessee

“Lord, Teach Us to Pray” Lecture Series

Posted on Tuesday, April 29, 2025

The final lecture in the Aquinas series took place on Thursday, April 10th.  While storms swept through and the power went out,  the evening continued beautifully by candlelight. Mandy Broderick spoke on the importance of Our Blessed Mother’s influence on her family and upbringing, highlighting the various ways we can pray with Mary to unite ourselves more closely with her Son, Jesus.  Sister Mary Diana shared some reflections on praying with Our Lady at the Passion of Our Lord. She noted that only the Gospel of Saint John mentions Mary’s presence, simply identifying her as “standing” near Him on Calvary. Sister invited us to pray with Mary there, and even to use Mary at the cross as a way to pray all the mysteries of the Rosary.
