Message from the President — Aquinas College - Nashville, Tennessee
Sister Cecilia Anne, President, speaks at Evening of Mission and Leadership

President’s Message

Dear Friends,

Sister Cecilia Anne Wanner, O.P.

For more than sixty years, Aquinas College has shared in the educational mission of the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia, serving the Church through the formation of teachers, preachers, and faithful disciples. Rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition and inspired by the Dominican pursuit of Truth, we seek to unite faith and reason in service to Christ and His Church.

Our new strategic plan, Called to Communion: One in Christ, One in Mission, expresses the vision that guides us as we look to the future. We believe that authentic mission begins in communion: communion with God, with one another, and with the Church. It is from this communion that we are strengthened to teach, to evangelize, and to serve.

Today, Aquinas College forms a diverse community of learners. We educate future Dominican Sisters who will teach and evangelize throughout the world. We provide intellectual formation for seminarians preparing for priestly ministry. We support educators, catechists, and school leaders in their service to the Church. We also welcome lay men and women who seek personal enrichment through the study of theology, philosophy, history, literature, and the liberal arts.

In every program and initiative, our purpose remains the same: to contemplate the Truth revealed in Jesus Christ and to hand on the fruits of that contemplation to others. Through academic excellence, spiritual formation, and a culture of Christian friendship, we strive to prepare men and women who will contribute to the renewal of the Church and the transformation of culture.

We invite you to learn more about Aquinas College, participate in our programs, attend our events, and join us in this mission. Whether you are a prospective student, alumnus, benefactor, educator, parish leader, or friend of the College, we are grateful for your interest and support.

Together, let us continue to deepen our communion with Christ and renew our commitment to the mission He has entrusted to His Church.

Saint Thomas Aquinas, pray for us.

Sincerely in Christ,
Sister Cecilia Anne Wanner, O.P.
President
