Mission
The Center for Catholic Education at Aquinas College supports Catholic educators, catechists, school leaders, and families by providing resources, formation opportunities, and programs that strengthen Catholic identity, deepen faith, and advance the mission of Catholic education. Through educational materials, online resources, and select formation initiatives, the Center seeks to foster a vibrant culture of faith and learning that helps schools and families form young people in truth, virtue, and wisdom.
About the Center
The Center for Catholic Education serves as a resource for those committed to the mission of Catholic education. Drawing upon the educational tradition of Aquinas College and the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation, the Center for Catholic Education provides materials, programs, and opportunities for ongoing formation in Catholic identity, virtue education, catechesis, and faith formation.
Educators, school leaders, catechists, parents, and others involved in the work of forming young people will find practical resources and opportunities for spiritual and intellectual growth. Through both online offerings and on-campus programs, the Center seeks to support the renewal and strengthening of Catholic education in schools, parishes, and homes.

Sister Elizabeth Anne Allen, O.P., Ed.D. is a member of the faculty of the School of Education and founding Director of the Center for Catholic Education at Aquinas College. Her doctoral research concerns student perspectives of Catholic identity as it is expressed and lived out in their schools. Having served in the roles of teacher and administrator on the elementary, secondary, and collegiate levels, Sister is passionate about the importance of teaching and is involved nationally with the professional formation of educators.
