Clinical Placement Portfolio and Senior Thesis Presentations
Posted on Tuesday, May 13, 2025

On April 29th, Sister Chiara Grace Maurer, O.P. and Sister Simone Adams, O.P. presented their portfolio projects, which included their philosophy of education, the demographics of student teaching placements, and artifacts demonstrating their integration of the InTASC standards in the practicum. These presentations shared a window into the classrooms in which they taught this spring. Around 20 guests attended the presentation and subsequent lunch, including Sister Catherine Marie Hopkins, O.P. (pictured), principal at St. Rose of Lima in Murfreesboro where Sister Simone did one of her student teaching placements.
The following day, history major Giovanni Greer presented his senior thesis research, challenging historical assessments that portray the Crusader States in the Holy Land (1099-1291) as a complete failure.
Besides being capstone components for their respective degree programs, these student presentations served as a welcome opportunity to highlight and celebrate the achievements of our graduating seniors.
