Food for the Journey: Eucharistic Lecture

Posted on Thursday, October 5, 2023

Betsy Donlon, EdD, and her husband David Donlon helped launch the first of four talks for Aquinas College’s Eucharist Lecture Series. The title of the evening presentation, “Food for the Journey: The Eucharistic Family Life,” was inspirational for families trying to instill the importance of the Real Presence in the Eucharist. One of the beautiful messages given by David Donlon was: “The Eucharist does for our spiritual life everything that food does for our bodily life. It sustains us, it restores us, it delights us.”

Dr. Betsy Donlon is Assistant Professor for the School of Education at Aquinas College. Mr. David Donlon is a teacher at St. Cecilia Academy. The Donlon family attends Saint Henry Catholic Church.

The next lecture in the series will take place on Thursday, December 14 at 7pm in the Aquinas Center.  The format of the evening will be the same with a dynamic speaker, Sister Jane Dominic, O.P., delivering a reflection, followed by a time of Adoration, then concluding with Benediction.
