Memorial Gifts and Honorariums

Aquinas College receives gifts in memory or honor of classmates, parents, friends, and Dominican Sisters. When a memorial/honorarium gift is made, Aquinas College notifies the honoree’s family member(s). Unless the memorial/honorarium gift is designated for an endowed or capital fund, it is allocated to the annual fund.

How to Make a Memorial Gift or Honorarium

When making a gift in someone’s memory or in honor of someone, simply make the check payable to Aquinas College and address the envelope:

Aquinas College
4210 Harding Pike
Nashville, TN 37205

Please include a note with the following information for each gift:

  1. Name of person being honored and occasion OR name of deceased (and date of death, if known).
  2. Name and address of surviving spouse or family member to whom notice of this gift should be sent.
  3. Indicate that the gift is for Aquinas College.
  4. Your name, address and telephone number and amount of gift in order to provide you with a receipt for your taxes.

A memorial card will be sent to the surviving family member(s) mentioning the name and address of the donor, not the amount of the gift. An honor card will be sent to the honoree mentioning the name and address of the donor, not the amount of the gift. The donor is mailed an acknowledgement letter and a receipt for tax purposes.
